Baera 2. Here is the second of three successive photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken from the 17th Street Bridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1951. Shown here is a trio of unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotives pulling a mail and express train. In this context, they're crossing over from Track 3 to Track 1 on their way up the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Pittsburgh. Partially visible at the far right is ALTO Tower. At the left are the lead tracks to the Hollidaysburg Branch line.
