| This picture looks south towards Poseyville, IN on 12-22-2015. I don't know the heritage of this former line but according to Abandoned Rails dot com, this may have been part of the Owensville Terminal, ex-IC/ICG, exx-Peoria, Decatur, and Evansville line. No idea as to the history, though. At one time boxcars were stored on this trackage, IINM, but the rails have been gone for several years. Note the cut in the roadbed--someone had to move an awful lot of dirt to make that passageway! |
