Mar. 15, 1969." PC #8052 is a DRS 4-4-1000 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as Pennsylvania Railroad number "5592" in March of 1950, rated at 1,000 horsepower, and renumbered "8052" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Baldwins in Action ~ On North-Eastern Railroads" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (892-23). |
