Gateway to America: the Central Railroad of New Jersey terminal (right) and Ellis Island (left)         
Between the late 1880s and 1930 some 12 million immigrants passed through Ellis Island. Many would go through the CRR NJ terminal to reach their final destinations in the US and Canada.
