BO 2-10-0 #6505 - Baltimore & Ohio         
This long 2-10-0 decapod was built by Alco-Brooks in June of 1907 originally as Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh #506. In 1932, the BRP was officially absorbed into the B&O with this loco being renumbered BO #6505. It continued in service until being scrapped in March of 1950 after nearly 43 years of service. Specs - 52" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 24x29" cylinders, engine wt of 268,000 lb and tractive effort of 52,730. A superheater was applied later. This is an Howard W. Ameling photo.
