Baltimore & Ohio 4-6-0 ten wheeler #1355 was built by the Baltimore & Ohio Mount Clare Shops in 1891. These were the first B-8 class ten wheeler locos built Baldwin followed up with 50 more in 1892. No exact retirement date was found but the entire class was gone by the 1940's. Original specs - 60" drivers, modest 170 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, modest engine wt of 140,825 lb and modest tractive effort of 25,047 lb. This is a Ralph G. Dunn photo. |
