BO 2-10-0 #6500 - Baltimore & Ohio         
Built by Alco-Brooks in June of 1907 as Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh #501, this 2-10-0 decapod and its sisters were designated helper units in a 17 mile stretch between between Clarion and Freeman, PA. In 1932, the B&O formally absorbed the Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburg with this loco being renumbered B&O #6500. The loco lasted in helper service where needed until being scrapped in December of 1948. Original specs - class Y, 52" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 24x28" cylinders, engine wt of 268,000 lb and tractive effort of 52,730 lb. The photo comes from the Ralph G. Dunn collection.
