DMIR 2-8-8-4 #229 - Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range         
During WW II, these types of steam locomotives could move massive amounts of iron ore for use in building military equipment needed by the troops oversead. It was often referred to as "the locomotives that defeated Hitler." A fitting tribute to the hardworking locomotive and all the crew members that maintained them!
