PRR 9417, H-10S, c. 1935         
Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9417, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company as an H-8C during December of 1912, rebuilt as an H-10S in February of 1919, renumbered "9959" in 1950, and retired in February of 1952 after 40 years of faithful service. The names of the photographer and of the Fireman pictured here, as well as the exact date and the location, are not recorded. Gary Mittner Collection.
