PRR Union Avenue Bridge, 1950
iLocations. Here is an image of a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in 1950. Prominent here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's Bridge at the intersection of Union and 10th Avenues. It's afternoon rush hour with a "J" Class "Texas" steam locomotive rumbling over the Bridge and a streetcar heading out and a bus heading in and every spare car in Altoona trying to get somewhere at once! It's Altoona in the good old days! William E. Burket Collection.
