PRR 9711, BF-16, 1958         
Volkmer. Here is an image of a photo by William D. Volkmer that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 25 June 1958. Parked in the East Altoona Locomotive Ready Tracks (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9711 and #2015. Both are BF-16's built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton and rated at 1,600 horsepower each. #9711 was constructed in December of 1950 and retired in July of 1966, while #2015 was built in February of 1952 and retired in January of 1967. Partially visible at the left is PRR engine #9854, an EFP-15 built by GM-EMD in June of 1952 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. William E. Burket Collection.
