Here is the first of four photos from the "Long Island Rail Road" series. Photo Caption: "The 1880's saw rural scenes like this in what is now the populous Port Jefferson area of Suffolk County. This was the Port Jefferson terminal, which now has several daily trains of 14 to 17 cars." The photographer's name, the locomotive's road number, and the exact date are not recorded. John S.
