UP 4-10-2 #8807
The "long legged" UP 4-10-2 #8807 was built by Alco-Brooks in May of 1926 (serial #66733, class FTT-2. Although not particularly successful as a 3 cylinder variant, the loco was rebuilt by the UP shops. Both versions (labeled "Overland" by the UP) were used primarily in the LA&SL system. The rebuilt loco lasted until being scrapped in March of 1954 at Pocatello, ID. Original specs - 63" drivers,210 psi boiler pressure, 25x30" outside cylinders, 25x28" center cylinder, engine weight of 404,000 lb, tractive effort of 77,917 lb. Unknown photographer
