FSF. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in August of 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8609, an APS-24MS built by the American Locomotive Company in January of 1956 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. In this context, it's running light on the westbound passenger track. In the background are several structures belonging to the PRR's Passenger Car Shops. Photo taken from the 4th Street Footbridge.
