| Conrail Alco C628s 6730 (built 1964 as Monon 401 to Lehigh Valley 634) and 6734 (built 1965 as LV 628) are waiting for the torch at Pielet Brothers scrap yard near the EMD plant in McCook, Illinois - July 2, 1978. They were probably trade-ins for the huge order of Conrail SD40-2s that were behind me in the factory. |
