| Rare 1958 reprint of the Fairmount & Veblen 4-4-0 that was involved in an accident. The F&V was a short line between Richland County, North Dakota and Roberts/Marshall counties in South Dakota. The only mention of a locomotive was that one was acquired from the Soo Line to use on the new railroad. Incorporated in December of 1912, it lasted until being sold to the Minneapolis, St Paul & Sault Ste Maire (Soo) in 1915. F&V was its reporting mark but with such a short life, the mark has all but disappeared. No information was listed for this original photo. |
