| Illinois Central Gulf piggyback train No. 55 was nearing the end of its trip from the Windy City to the Crescent City as it headed through SOUTHPORT JUNCTION in the New Orleans area. GP30 2278 had been built as Gulf, Mobile & Ohio 529 in September 1963. The ICG sold it to the Paducah & Louisville in August 1986 and VMV rebuilt it into CSX slug 2263 in August 1989. |
