PRR 2222, EF-22, 1963
Sweetland. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken near Gallitzin, Pennsylvania, in May of 1963. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2222 and #2214. Both are EF-22's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2.250 horsepower each. #2222 was constructed in April of 1963, while #2214 was built in March of 1963. In this context, they're rockin' 'n' rollin' with a mixed-cargo freight train out of Enola on its way to Conway. ("PrrFan18n")

Tom Beckett General Four deuces!! I find the inductive trainphone antennas to be one of the more interesting features of PRR equipment. Cool set. 11/24/2020 3:26:34 AM
