| My joy at finally getting a train led by an ET44AH was short lived. I ran into Baron, thinking Id get this across the field shot, which I had done last week with the DPU on a northbound coal train. I pulled onto the shoulder to get out of the way, then realized I wanted to move back about 20 feet to frame the shot better. What I didnt see was the stub post from a road sign-ironically, probably a grade crossing sign that was moved-that was sticking about six inches up from the ground, and not visible from the car. I backed over it, blowing out my right rear tire. This was the only shot I had, and the last one Id get. Someday..... |
