CN 4-6-0 #1532 - Canadian National
CN 4-6-0 #1532 stands by an unidentified passenger station kicking out the smoke plume, probably to the disgust of the lady whose wash is hanging out of the line in the background. Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1910, the loco served first the Canadian Northern Rwy as their #263 (later renumbered 1324) and Canadian Natioanl as their 1324 before being renumbered #1532 in August of 1956. The loco was finally retired in March of 1960 after nearly 50 years of service. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo. Thanks to Bruce Gemmel (see comment below) for identifying the locaiton as Palmerston, Ontario. Very much appreciate your help, Burce!
