Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, in February of 1953. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6749, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A during August of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in February of 1949, and retired in February of 1958 after 28 years of faithful service. Looks to me like it's seen better days! ("LouisFols"; #20 of 21) |
