PRR "Kittanning Point in the Alleghenies," 1910         
Here is a postal card entitled "Kittanning Point in the Alleghenies." Postmarked: 30 May 1910. Caption On Reverse: "At an altitude of 1626 feet above tide, this famous point in the heart of the Appalachian system recalls to mind the famous Kittanning War Path used by trader, pioneer, and warrior. The Path passed immediately in front of the present station. The view here is one of unequalled beauty." Visible at the left are the Pennsylvania Railroad's four-track coaling station and the two-spout watering point.
