UP DDA40X #6905 - Union Pacific         
Beautiful action shot of the EMD DDA40X #6905 built in August of 1969 as it heads up a freight consist. A note on the back says somehwere near the heddie "y" in the mountains of Northeastern California." With help from Steve Evers (see comment below), the location is "Keddie Wye" near Keddie, CA. Very much appreciate the help, Steve. Thanks! The loco was retired on May 29, 1985 and sold to Precision National Corporation, Mount Vernon, Illinois on March 2, 1988. No date or photographer was listed.

Steve E General It's " Keddie Wye ", named after the town of Keddie in northern California on the ex Western Pacific, now Union Pacific route thru the Feather River Canyon. The Wye is where the inside gateway to Oregon and the Feather River Route meet 3/14/2020 7:28:39 PM
