| A CN local slowly approaches N. Lynndale Dr. as it heads southeast via former C&NW rails at Appleton, WI on 16 Dec. '18. Local, on its way back from New London, was slowing to prepare to switch Wisconsin Building Supply, 222 N. Lilas Dr., out-of-frame to left. The east end of the Marketplace Shopping Center, 2700 W. College Ave., can be seen at left. This portion is currently vacant, since WG&R Furniture moved to their new facility at the intersection of W. Wisconsin Ave. and Hwy. 41. N. Lynndale Dr. forms part of the ridiculously convoluted border between Appleton (to left) and the Town of Grand Chute (to right). |
