Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Baltimore, Maryland, c. 1967. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "Baldwin AS-616 #6973, 1600-hp, at Baltimore, Md." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6973, a BS-16M road switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "8973" in May of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and renumbered "6973" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-22).
