Nacionales de Mexico SD40M-2 13071 was in the Illinois Central’s MAYS YARD near New Orleans, on its way from the VMV shop in Paducah, Kentucky to the NdeM, while awaiting delivery to the Southern Pacific to continue its trip to Mexico. The 13071 was originally Norfolk & Western SD45 1782 and subsequently Ferromex 3200. IC GP40 3104, GP38-2 9621 and GP40 3101 were the power for that evening’s piggyback train. |
