PRR engine #4808 is a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built by General Electric during July of 1935 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. Note that both pantographs are in the "up" position. The exact date and the location are not recorded. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Railroads U.S.A." that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (411-8). |
