PRR 5703, EP-22, 1966 Editors Pick!
Tyrone. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, on 16 April 1966. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engine #5703 and another unit whose number is not recorded. #5703 is an EP-22 built by EMD in 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They are pulling a westbound passenger train from Harrisburg through the Tyrone Station to Altoona, Pittsburgh, and points West.
