NH 4_6_4 #1400 - New York, New Haven & Hartford RR  Contributor's Pick!       
Based on an ink stamp on the back of the photo, this appears to be a photo taken by the New Haven Railroad of the first beautiful streamlined Hudson of ten built by Baldwin in 1937. Specifics - I-5 class, streamlined, 80" drivers, impressive 285 psi boiler pressure, 22x30" cylinders, engine weight of 365,300 lb, tractive effort of 43,968 lb. Date is approximate and location was arbitrarily set for the Baldwin Locomotive Works.
