CSX 478 and 488 shove back into the small yard off Bramlett Rd. while bicyclists wait impatiently for the train to clear the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The trail is a popular rail trail that runs from downtown Greenville to Travlers Rest, SC north of here. The trail uses the old right of way of the now defunct Greenville and Northern Railroad that ran from Greenville to River Falls in northern Greenville County. It was affectionately nicknamed the "Swamp Rabbit Railroad". |
