BM 4-8-2 #4107 - Boston & Maine  Contributor's Pick!       
One of the 18 Mountain type 4-8-2 locos built by Baldwin in 1935. Each one carried a name designated by a winning contest entry - Intrepid was the winning name for #4107. Specifics - class R-1, 73" drivers, 240 psi boiler pressure, 28"x31" cylinders, engine weight of 416,100 lb, tractive effort of 67,918 lb. Eventually sold to the B&O in 1947.
