c1895: Notes on the back of the photograph: "MCRR #34 on Train #2, Fred Little - Engineer, Albert Goodman - Fireman; yard engine #73, Vanceboro, Me." Note the Train Number '2' is displayed hanging in front of the head lamp. In the 1890 to 1905 era MEC had two #34s and two #73s. I drove to Vanceboro a few years ago. All this is gone now. MEC sold out to CP years ago and the main track with 2 sidings is now operated by Eastern Maine RR. Other photos show a hotel large station and freight house along with numerious other buildings. /DL
