| A busy day at the Seneca Foods Corp. facility in Shawano, WI on 10 Sep. '15. The address on the door is 200 N. Green Bay Ave., Gillett, WI, which seems to imply that the canning plant in Gillett trucks their products about 25 miles to Shawano to be shipped by rail. Gillett was served by C&NW from 1884 to 1981. This facility is currently served by CN via former SOO rails. I am curious to learn what the old foundation in the foreground used to be, but haven’t had any luck so far. |
