Former LE&P trestle
This is the last remaining LE&P trestle that has track on it. It is hidden in the woods north of Kent, Ohio. This line was once a part of the Lake Erie & Pittsburgh Rwy, a paper railroad that existed between Brady Lake and Cleveland but was operated by the New York Central and maintained by the PRR (if memory serves me correctly). The Penn Central abandoned and removed most of the line, leaving only a 2 or 3 mile segment that accessed a stone plant just outside of Kent. The stone plant no longer uses rail service and now this line sits dormant with rumors now surfacing that this trestle failed bridge inspection.
