Parlor car  Contributor's Pick!
The LIRR still ran a number of parlor cars in the 80s. These were noted by their red stripe, vs blue on all other cars. Most ran on the Montauk Branch-there was an all parlor train on weekends-but there were also a couple that ran as subscription cars on the Port Jeff and Oyster Bay lines. This one is trailing 255 on an Oyster Bay train.
