| Named "Little John" in the B&M sponsored contest, this brute is similar to its namesake, a real powerhouse in disguise. Built by Baldwin in 1937 along with 17 others, the R-1 class served the B&M well through the war years. In 1947, this unit and several of its sisters were sold to the B&O and renumbered 5606.
