MKT 4-6-2 #407 - Missouri-Kansas-Texas RR  Contributor's Pick!       
Built by Lima Locomotive Works in 1920, this Pacific-type locomotive had 73" drivers, developed 210 psi boiler pressure with 25x28" cylinders and delivered a respectable 42,7891 lb tractive effort. On this unknown date, it's heading up one of the crack passenger trains like the Katy Limited, Katy Flyer, or the Bluebonnet.The loco was scrapped in Novermber of 1951 after 31 years of service. Date is approximate.
