CB&Q Aeolus 4000
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad class S-4-A 4000 named Aeolus, eastbound at Aurora, Illinois on an unknown day in August 1937, photo by Baldwin Locomotive Works, Chuck Zeiler collection. The following is from the Burlington Route Historical Society's Bulletin 14, AEOLUS: Alice blasts out of the Aurora depot on the last leg of the journey to Chicago with an American Legion special train from Denver in August or September 1937 - Baldwin photo. Not obvious is another train pulling into the station, only the smoke plume at track level in the left background gives it away, but on close inspection it appears to possibly be another section of this train, lead by a conventional S-4.
