Thurmond's depot was a museum or at least had a lot of historical displays when we visited there. That's our train, the "New River Train", with several Amtrak Superliner (TM) cars and a few others. The depot was painted bright yellow with white trim in October 1998, but I don't remember if the stairs or railings were painted brown, or left in their natural color. Regardless, this was a beautiful scene for me! |
