WAB 4-6-0 #639 - Wabash RR  Contributor's Pick!       
Built by Baldwin Co early successor, Burnham, Williams & Co, in 1904, this ten-wheeler type locomotive had 74" drivers, created 220 psi boiler pressure, had an overall engine/tender wheelbase of 55.6' and engine weight of 193,330 lbs. Eventually refitted with 74" drivers but not superheated so operated for less than 30 years. Photo was taken by Clyde L Harper.
