| The ICN to Lugano is passing the Chärstelenriverbridge. In front is the SBB own hydro power station which was built 1922, as coal was difficult to get at this time and therefore electrification was installed all over the Gotthard line. 1998 - 2003 a new installation of four 40 MW Pelton turbines were put into operation in a new built mountain cavern. |
