ATSF 2591 Editors Pick!        
NORMAN OK July 18 1980 -- If only they were still F units. A crew member is on the ground preparing to give a rollby inspection to a westbound (compass south) train on the main line. Santa Fe CF7 2591 is in charge of this eastbound (compass north) mixed freight. The 2591 was originally F7A 235L built by EMD in April 1950. It was rebuilt into a CF7 at the Cleburne (Texas) shops Dec 7 1972. It was retired Oct 13 1986, sold to National Railroad Equipment Dec 7 1987, sold to Midsouth Rail Corp. (KCS) mid-December 1987 as MSRC 7005, sold to Kansas City Southern Jan 1994 as KCS 7005, and sold to Louisiana & Delta in February 1994 as LDRR 7005. (Roster information from atsfrr.net)
