A special Polar Express steam excursion using Pere Marquette 2-8-4 #1225 heads north near Henderson, Michigan, taken December 19, 2004. 1225 was used for the Polar Express movie. It was single digits here and the last run before Christmas! The tender featured "The Polar Express™" lettering during 2004. Real sounds and C.G.I. were used! Tuscola and Saginaw Bay GP35 #390 follows behind and will lead the train back from "Santas Village" in Chesaning!" Here's a photo my late Dad (RCJ I) took of 1225 leading this train: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=5651168 (Canon 35mm S.L.R. camera, Fuji Superia 400 print film) |
