Steve Young General I've heard of these but I haven't been able to find out much about them. What's different about them from an SW( 8/17/2017 1:11:07 AM
Chuck Zeiler General The majority of ICG's SW14's were rebuilt from SW7's and SW9's. A few were rebuilt from NW2's and two from a TR2 set. Two others were rebuilt from an SW9M and a NW2M that were built as a TR set. The program began in 1977 and ended in 1982. The first three kept their round cab roofs after that they all got angled roofs. Eventually they started blanking out the front cab windows and replaced the original roof grill with an SW1500 style grill. All were rated at 1300 hp and had 12-567BC prime movers. Most but not all got new AAR control stands similar to those in late EMD switchers. 8/17/2017 9:36:38 AM
