CP 2100 & 2101 on the transfer  Contributor's Pick!
Brand new at the time and testing in Southern Ontario service, CP 2100 and 2101 are NRE 3GS21B-DE Genset locomotives. They ran for the first little while in service trailing other locomotives, like on this cloudy day splicing a pair of GP9's on the T56 Lambton transfer at Davenport.

Don L General Are these locomotives or just Gen-Sets? I just saw #2100 on the hump train here in Oshawa doing an auto car push into or out of General Motors. It was with 2 slugs, one an old SD and the other a commonly seen SW conversion. 3/24/2010 5:26:20 PM
Dan D General Don, they are "Gen-set" locomotives, they are powered by 3 smaller diesel engines. 3/24/2010 6:48:56 PM
