Earl Karper, Sr. General I never heard of any railroad with catenary and passenger service (overhead wire on station platform tracks) in the Cleveland, OH area. Can you tell me more about that? 12/24/2008 7:08:06 PM
Frank Garon General The catenary was (and is) for the Cleveland RTA's Airport High Speed Line out to Hopkins Int'l Airport. It's a really fun ride, and there's plenty of good railroading along it. The same can be said for the Shaker Heights Rapid Transit line. I was lucky enough to ride both of them in the late 1970's. Cleveland is still a great city for railfanning - lots of interesting scenery and operations, I'd say. Hope this helps. 1/11/2010 5:11:02 PM
