Looking eastbound in the Thorndike Yard. The silos and sidings in the distance served the grain mill that was the RRs largest customer in the post WWII era until they closed in the 80s.

Note the bearing inspection & oiling doors. It must have been difficult for the oiler to get in there. I bet he had to shovel snow out of the way to do it too. /DL
