WTRY 0-4-0T #2 - Wilmington Marine Terminal Rwy
Title:  WTRY 0-4-0T #2 - Wilmington Marine Terminal Rwy
Description:  Here is a rare photo of the diminutive Wilmington Marine Terminal Rwy 0-4-0 tank steam locomotive #2. According to the info on the back of this original photo, it was built by Alco in 1918. Although I couldn't track down (no pun intended) its exact builder info, I'm fairly certain that it was built by the Cooke Locomotive & Machine Works in neighboring Patterson, NJ. A note on the back of the photo states "Last steam eng. In Del. Retired 1958." No photographer was listed and no exact day in June of 1958 was given.

BO 0-4-0 #37 - Baltimore & Ohio
Title:  BO 0-4-0 #37 - Baltimore & Ohio
Description:  Prior to Alco merger, the Pittsburgh Locomotive & Car Works built this cute 0-4-0 switcher in June 1893 (c/n 1444) originally for the Valley Railway of Ohio as #16, which went to the Cleveland Terminal & Valley as #16. In 1902 the Baltimore & Ohio acquired it, renumbered #37, class C11, and was caught by R.D. Patton as it sat in the Wilmington, DE, yard. Number 37 was scrapped in August 1945.
