Number S-328 was built between 1898 and 1901 as a trailer coach, motorized by the Chicago Elevated Railroad in 1913 and numbered 1792, converted to work motor S-328 (second) in December 1958, retired and scrapped in 1969.

CTA S-332
Title:  CTA S-332
Description:  Chicago Transit Authority S-332 in the lower yard at 63rd Street in Chicago, Illinois on March 14, 1965, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The number 1753 can be seen in the upper window behind the first side door. Number 1753 was built in 1906 by the Jewett Car Company of Newark, Ohio for the Northwestern Elevated Railroad Company of Chicago, one of 34 motor cars ordered. The cars were numbered 735-768, later renumbered to 1735-1768. In 1928 the two GE traction motors were replaced with Westinghouse motors and control equipment. In 1957 1753 was converted to work motor S-332, rebuilt to Derrick Car S-332 in 1965, equipped with 6000 series couplers in November 1975.

Number S-338 was built in 1900-01 for the Chicago Elevated Railway as a 1200 series trailer coach, motorized by the CTA in 1950 and numbered 1813, became CTA S-338 in January 1958, retired and scrapped in May 1968.

Description:  Chicago Transit Authority S-339 at the 63rd Street yard in Chicago, Illinois on March 14, 1965, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number S-339 was built between 1900-1901 by either ACF or Saint Louis as a 1200 series trailer coach. It was rebuilt by the CTA in 1950, motorized and renumbered 1814. In January 1958 it was converted to a work motor and renumbered S-339, retired and scrapped in December 1967.

Description:  Chicago Transit Authority S-606 at Dempster Street in Skokie, Illinois on October 25, 1964, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The car was built in 1923 for the Chicago North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad as line car 606 by the Cincinnati Car Company. The CTA purchased the car in 1963 upon the cessation of North Shore Line service and rebuilt it. Yes, that is a step-ladder on the roof of the line car.
