CN 2-10-2 #4201, nee-BA #1101 - Canadian National
Title:  CN 2-10-2 #4201, nee-BA #1101 - Canadian National
Description:  Originally built by Alco-Brooks in 1919 as Boston & Albany #1101, it proved to be too slow when B&A started increasing freight speeds. It and its nine other sisters bounced to the CCC&StL in 1926, then to NYC in 1927 before being sold to CN in 1928 as their #4201. Specs - Serial #60066, BA class Z1, CN class T-3-a, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure,27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 352,000 lb, tractive effort of 69,575 lb. The loco finally met the scrapper's torch in February of 1957. No date, location or photograher was listed for the photo. Denis Chartrand (see comment below) believes this may very well be Turcot Yard in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It does fit all the features accurately. Thanks, Denis, for your help!!!

Description:  Sleek Canadian National 2-10-2 #4204 was originally Boston & Albany #1104 built by Alco-Brooks in 1919. B&A sold the class of 10 to CN who renumbered them. Specs - serial #60069, T-3a class, 57" driveres, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 352,000 lb, tractive effort of 69,575 lb. Retirement took place between 1955-61. No photographer listed for the photo.
